Shower and a football game

Ugh, so I am still frustrated with the new blogger template so I am just going to keep stuff short until I get over it.
While we were in FL we did several fun things.
I was able to go to Ansev's bridal shower

It was held at a cool house that had a screened in RV port (think carport but huge!) It was a really fun shower and she got lots of nice things.

Josh and I went to a Bucs game thanks to our friend Walter who got us tickets to sit in a box. Really, now I am spoiled and can't think about seeing a game any other way :)

While we were watching the game, actor Quinton Aaron (The Blind Side) was making the rounds and posing for pictures. Walter got his taken with him but Josh and me just watched.

Presents

Wonderful, blogger has changed its format, thus adding time to this process since I don't know where anything is now. Just what I needed when I try hard to find time to do this and as you readers know, am not that successful at that. Here goes nothing. I was going to just do a quick post with pictures from our first night in FL for the boys' birthdays. Luke was lucky to get to open his presents from Grammy and Papa when we got there and didn't have to wait until the party later that week. Pictures of Luke opening presents:

And yes I did put returns between sentences, but apparently the new blogger just likes to lump all of my text together.

School birthday celebration

On Luke's birthday, we sent a cookie cake in to school for him to share with his friends. This has become a tradition I guess now and this year I let him pick out what design he wanted.



That morning before school, since we weren't going to have a cake later that day, I put a candle in his waffle :)



Luke's teacher makes a special hat for each child to wear all day when it is their birthday.





Luke wanted to eat the #4 piece (not surprisingly, Brad ate more of the cookie cake than did Luke).



That was just the beginning of the birthday celebrations...later we headed down the road to Florida to celebrate some more.

Luke turned 4! I can't believe my little baby boy is 4 years old already.
Luke, you are the sweetest boy ever. You are very considerate of feelings and wear your own on your sleeve. It doesn't take much to hurt your feelings, even a sideways glance can set you off, but you also try so hard to be a good boy because you can't stand someone being upset with you. And you are such a good boy Luke. Even though we all have our moments and you definitely have yours, you are generally a very happy and fun child and I am so happy you are part of our family. The past year has brought you a new baby brother and you are already a terrific big brother and are loving and protective of Brad. He is lucky to have you. You are a big help to me and Daddy and the older you get the more you are able to help out with and you do so willingly (usually).

You love your school and Ms Bonnie your teacher. Your best buddy this year at school is Tyler and you still get to see your old friends Ben and Alec. You are still very much into cars and cartoons and movies. You've been really fond of Batman and Spiderman this year. You like to make up stories and tell me and Daddy them all the time. You've memorized some of your books and even took Daddy by surprise one night and he asked me if you could read because you did such a good job!
The things that have made me and Daddy chuckle this year have been how you ask all the time if you can have something for your birthday or Christmas and we tell you to put it on your list and that makes you so excited. Also, you have a creative imagination and tell us daily about the things you did when you were 15 years old with your brothers and your mommy and daddy that weren't me and daddy. Sometimes they have names you remember and sometimes they don't. Sometimes it is a little freaky how much detail you have in these stories...

You have grown like a weed already the first half of your year of 4. I had to buy you new shoes (sz 11) in January after just getting you new shoes for your 4th birthday! You still are a little shy when first meeting people and you cling to mommy still in the mornings at school, but rarely any tears. We've been so proud of you the way you took to your T-ball team this Spring. You are really enjoying playing for the Braves and have hit the ball without a tee almost the whole season!

Luke we so adore you and are having the best time watching you grow up!

Early birthday

Since we were going out of town to celebrate the boys' birthdays, I let them open their GG's and GGpa's presents early. We didn't even get them into the house from the mailbox before Luke convinced me to let him open his gift.

Luke loves his magnetic cars! They have made great "quiet" toys for church and have been know to occupy the "favorite toy space" in his bed from time to time. (This spot rotates frequently, but it is the same select rotation that gets the honor).





Brad got a new car with a race car driver! He loves it and is starting to build up quite a car collection of his own now :)

Football time

Well back in October we were ready for some Gator football!
Since that season is long over (thank goodness) I'll just share some cute pictures of the boys dressed for cheering on the Gators!
