Atlanta Aquarium

My parents came to visit us in late July and we went to the Aquarium. It truly was spectacular, although extremely crowded! I'm glad we went, but we can wait a while to go back :)
Josh did an amazing job taking pictures, here are some of them, but we must have about 30 great shots!

Trip to NC in July

My job didn't start until July 20th, so Luke and I took advantage of our long summer break by heading up to Brevard NC to visit GGma,GGpa, and Great-aunt Greta! Grammy (Josh's mom) was also there at the same time and our friends Uncle Walter and Aunt Andi and Sophia were at a campground about 25 minutes away so it was a great time to go visit everyone! We had such a blast and look forward to going back the next chance we get.

Sunday School Goodbye Party

One of the biggest blessings we had in Birmingham was a really great church and sunday school class. We feel so blessed to be able to call these wonderful people friends and we miss them dearly now that our path has taken us to Atlanta this year. Our class had a goodbye party for us in June. Several of us had children within several months of each other. We have a series of photos of Luke (the oldest), Spencer (about 5 weeks younger than Luke) and Ian (about 4 months younger than Luke) over the past year. It is always fun to try to get a good picture of all 3 of them at the same time. Here are a couple of the trys!

Luke was fascinated with this toy Marcus had made for Ian. It is washers running down a corrigated (not sure I spelled that right) pole, makes a sound like a rainmaker. Luke loved it!

going back a bit...Josh's graduation in June

Here are some pictures from Josh's graduation (from residency) dinner held in mid-June. His parents and my parents were able to join us for the occasion. Luke got to wear his tuxedo from Matt and Jayce's wedding again :)

Crazy couple of months

So I'm way behind again on blogging. Well that's because the last couple of months have been crazy. Josh and I both ended our jobs (residency and postdoc fellowship) in June, went to Josh's residency graduation dinner, tried to (and have not yet succeeded) sell a townhouse, are now trying to rent out our townhouse, moved to Atlanta, started new jobs (Josh is doing a Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship and I am working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or the CDC for the Vision Health Initiative), Luke started a new daycare, Luke and I took a few days trip to NC (pictures to come), and today I am home with a sick baby (on my 6th day of work...thank God for understanding supervisors!). That about sums up our last couple of months. Thanks to my parents and Matt and Jayce for helping us with the move!! We are trying to make the most of big city life. Will post soon about the adventures we've had so far.
